Apply To Damp Skin
Applying the Native Power Serum to damp skin is an incredibly important, vital first step. Use our Facial Mists to prep the skin, providing an essential layer of H2O to the outer layer of the skin. This allows the hyaluronic acid to attract, and grab hold of water molecules, delivering intense hydration into the skin. If applied dry, the HA particles will search for water and may draw moisture away from the deeper layers of the skin.
Massage Thoroughly
To ensure that the Hyaluronic Acid has been absorbed into the skin, it is important to take the time to massage the serum slowly and mindfully. Enjoy these moments of calm. This step cannot be rushed.
Seal With A Final Layer
Please don't wear this serum 'alone'. There is another vital step when working with the amazing water loving properties of hyaluronic acid, and that is to ensure it stays where you want it. That is, in the skin! Once the serum has been sufficiently massaged, please ensure that you seal your skin with either a Booster Oil, a Moisturiser - or both. This will prevent evaporation of H2O and allow for long-lasting hydration.
Hyaluronic acid is a glycosaminoglycan found naturally throughout the skin, where around half of the body's supply resides. Its defining property is its incredible affinity for water: a thirsty scavenger, it can bind up to 1,000 times its own weight, drawing moisture in and holding it where it is needed.
In skincare it is used as sodium hyaluronate, the salt of hyaluronic acid, valued for its stability and water solubility.

How hyaluronic acid behaves depends on its molecular weight, so rather than rely on a single size, Native Power Serum now combines a graduated range from low through mid to high.
The highest weights hold water at the skin surface as a fine, breathable protective layer, with a visible effect of plumper, more hydrated-looking skin.
The lower weights move into the upper layers of the stratum corneum, binding water within and between the skin's outermost cells, and the mid weights bridge the two. Together, they keep hydration present at every level rather than at a single point.
No, this is a hyaluronic-acid serum and all products containing HA need to be applied to damp skin, and then sealed with either a Facial Oil or Moisturiser.
